Is Cornish still spoken today?
Yes. Although Cornish fell out of everyday use in the 19th century, a dedicated revival movement has brought the language back. By early 2010, several hundred fluent speakers were believed to live in Cornwall, and the number has continued to grow through classes, online resources, and community initiatives.
What is the Standard Written Form?
The Standard Written Form (SWF) is an agreed spelling system for Cornish. It was ratified by the Cornish Language Partnership in May 2008 after two years of development, with a review planned for 2013. In July 2009, Gorsedh Kernow voted overwhelmingly to adopt the SWF, helping unify the various spelling traditions used in the revival.
Where can I learn Cornish?

Are there Cornish-language resources for children?
Yes. The resources directory includes materials specifically for children. Do road signs in Cornwall use Cornish?
Many do. The former Kerrier District Council pioneered bilingual English–Cornish street signs, and in November 2009 Cornwall Council voted for future street signs across Cornwall to be bilingual.
